We have exciting changes coming to our Little Nest location in Rapid Valley and our Little Nest location on East St Patrick Street.
In August, our Little Nest Preschool in Rapid Valley will receive a major upgrade to our outdoor playspace! Already the largest outdoor childcare playground in Rapid City, we are adding some wonderful upgrades. Students will still have our acreage to explore and new play equipment!
Our new slide system will encourage students to run, roam, climb, and slide! The pea pod climber challenges young climbers as the sea creature climber stimulates their senses. Kids can race down the slides toward a bench to relax and chat before roaming to the ship’s wheel on the ‘open sea.’
Fine motor and speech and language development excel as children manipulate the gear panel and discuss how objects move. The wave slide soars into gross motor growth and cognitive planning as children motor plan and use core and upper body strength (play system is 20’x10′)
Our new Poseidon climber will bring creativity onto the playground with an artistic and nautical structure. An arched-shaped design allows several children time to chat and mold social skills at recess to climb under or on top of the structure.
Little ones can be brave when sitting and even standing on the “wave,” for a great ride as well as a workout for gross motor muscles!
Detailed 3D images on the underside make it feel like you are swimming in the deep blue sea as you wave at fish, coral, and more! Feel the unique textures and experience hands-on sensory development!
Our Little Nest Child Care and Learning Center will also receive an update to the largest indoor childcare playspace in town with some additional gross motor play equipment!
Our students will get large muscles moving and grooving with this gross motor set! Multiple movable rings allow children to explore and use imitation and teamwork to gain muscle development and friendships.
Students will practice weight transferring skills and overall balance which encourages core activation and gross and fine motor skills as well as cognitive development during route planning during play. Kids will love exploring configurations with friends, naturally enhancing social and emotional development as they touch and explore textures and sensory skills.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring more opportunities for gross motor play to our students!
